48-56mm skateboard wheels are the most common for all street, park and ramp skateboarding.
56-60mm skateboard wheels are typically used for skating vert-ramps, bowls, pools, rough streets, etc.
60mm+ skateboard wheels are typically used for longboards, old school boards, downhill and simple transportation.
80-87A – Soft Durometer, Slower wheels, good for rough surfaces, longboards, old school boards, etc.
90-95A – Medium Durometer, Faster wheels, great for skating the streets as they are still a tad bit soft.
96-99A – Standard Hard Durometer, Fast wheels, great speed and grip. Best all around wheels.
100A+ – Hardest Durometer, Super Fast wheels, almost no grip or give, best for perfect indoor cement skateparks.
*Wheels without any durometer listed are generally 96-99A, the industry standard.
